全自费MBA签证经历（境外签F-1）

MBA全自费，5月23日上午于多伦多签过。 以下情况仅供在境外签F1的各位GGJJDDMM参考。

我5/10拿到I20，第二天就兴冲冲去了美领馆。当时 并不知有90天的规定(孤陋寡闻)。一黑人大妈细细 查过我的文件后，和蔼告知“sorry we can not issue the visa to you now,”当时我心里一沉，以 为被锯，正想说点什么，她接着说“you have to wait until 5/23, and bring back all your document to this office. it's just too early.” 边说边拿出张印了许多文字的白纸，在空白处写下 ：F1, come back on 5/23. 从窗口取回文件时我心 里稍宽，因为并没盖拒签章。临走时大妈一再嘱咐 “next time around, you don't have to wait in the line. show this paper to the guards, they will lead you here directly. you don't need pay the visa fee again either." 颇感动！

5/23上午9点到领馆门口，果然凭那张白纸长驱直入。 材料交到一指定窗口后坐等了两分钟，听喇叭里有叫 “Chinese passport, Mr. XXX”我寻声望去，发现 被派到2号白人大胡子GG处。据说他那里问题最多， 锯的也最多。只好先送过去一张笑脸，反正没坏处。

I: morning, sir
O: hi, how are you doing
I: i'm pretty good, thank you
O: sorry last time we couldn't give you the visa because of the time limit
I: oh, that's ok, i can understand, it's your policy
O: yeah. how long have you been in Canada?
I: hmmm, almost three years. i landed here in 97
O: oh, really? (翻看我护照上的landing paper) it's been a long time.
I: yeah (看过我的I20和录取信后)
O: why don't you go to a business school in Canada? why to the states?
I: well, basically US b-schools are better than those in Canada...
O: but there are also some good ones here,
I: yeah, i know, but XXX university is among top ten in the US, i just want to pursue better education.
O: sure, i know XXX is a very good school. congratulations.
I: thanks
O: what do you want to do after MBA?
I: i want to work in the XXX area.
O: is there a XXX major in this MBA program?
I: you can say so. actually they offer some sort of course concentration in XXX
O: oh, i see. (翻看GMAT和TOEFL成绩单后)
O: oh, you're really good
I: thank you (翻看我的VISA申请表后)
O: did you apply US visa before?
I: yeah, I applied twice for visitor visa, once rejected, another issued.
O: why that rejection?
I: that's about three years ago, when i just arrived Canada. the officer told me i didn't have enough social or family connection by then.
O: (smile) that's reasonable.
I: yeah
O: have you ever been in US?
I: no, never. I got my visitor visa two and a half years ago. but never had a chance to use it. guess i was just too busy in Canada. (翻看资金证明(一张出自一加拿大银行，另一张是一美国 brokerage house))
O: you just said you never went to the states before, why this bank document is from the US?
I: i open a brokerage account at this US firm through internet, 'cuz they offer better service and better price.
O: are they in Chicago?
I: i guess that's just their branch office. their headquarter is in California. all the documents they sent to me were from CA, you can check that envelop.
O: yeah, i got it. (终于把不需要的文件(成绩单，银行证明等)还给了我。然后撕下 一张取签证的小条。)
O: nice to talk to you. you can pick up you visa at this office tomorrow afternoon around 3-4 o'clock. have a good day
I: thanks, you too
经验：根据自己的材料和情况充份准备，我没见到过什么签证25 题，估计会有些帮助。但更重要的是了解你自己。兵来将挡，应 对得体就行了。各位好运。
