This university is awarded the good university in 1999 and its prestiage division is computing and informatics. Their graduates can find out job easily. Their commence salary is A$60260/annual. In general, UOW belongs to four star university in Australia. Anyway, its tuition fees are also affordable for chinese students.
After graduation, most of us want to stay in Australia.In fact, most of people have became Australia citizen. Australia's immigration policy is more friendly to the student who have got a diploma in Australia.
Of course you can take the notebook computer with you for your study.It's essential for your future life.
I know some students found a cheap house only cost 150 dollars a month and some of them lived it the apartment(Uni log or other very good apartment) at the centre the city of Melbouren.The rent of the apartments is over 700 even 1000 a month.but you know the difference of the rent really makesthe livng condation different. Food and transportation are the other two important things make living cost less or more. So atcually there is not a standard for international students,anyway, most of them need 7000 to 10000 to cover only living cost at Melbouren
My major is Master of IT as well. But it seems almost impossible to find any part time of full time jobs that have any relationship to my major except typing.I worked for a Chinese restaurant at Jau and Feb. I worked 12 hours everyday and sometimes 14 hours only got 6 dollars for an hour.
It is believed that the living cost at sydney is a little bite high than that of Melboure but as mentioned above the most important is your living style. do not be upset or worry about your life here because every one is different. I also know some students found
a really nice job and support themself sucessfully.

I can't give you an exact sum of money,there are so many kind of tickets.Some of them are charged by times and distance ,and some by week .The common used tickets is $26/pw,it can travel most part of the city(by bus,train,ferry).If u live near the Uni,u can choose ticket by times, $9.5/10times and a lot of choice.I means Sydney,I don't know other city.

UNSW在海滨，附近的房租很贵；悉尼冬天不冷，夏天不热，好像用不着棉衣；早去能比较好找房子，差别很大的。还有在澳千万别尝试自行车(very dangerous)；上网自己交费，不过不贵。
A notebook will do good to u. U can use notebook in the library to use Internet and it is free at all. (UNSW)

悉尼大学学术气太重,所以不少科目设置不太科学.众多专业中,法律和nursing是公认最好的,其他的均属一般.
澳洲的大学素质普遍比较高,所以风评都比较好.这其中只有悉尼大学和新南威尔士大学比较特殊.因为这两家名气比较大.所以我认为大家选学校时不应该过于注重所谓的学校名气.事实上,本地人反而不喜欢就读名气大的学校,因为这些学校亚洲学生太多,老师讲课时会适当降低授课的速度.而求职时,老板更看重的是你个人的经验和能力,并不是如中国那样,看重背景和关系.本人综合对比了一下,感觉若是读计算机,首选是unsw,其次是uts.若是读经济,首选是unsw,次选是麦加里.当然,unsw学费不菲,所以应慎重.

UNSW accomadation: The price range is from 80-150 per week which depends on area, funiture, convinience etc. My experience is come here prior much the new term so that you could have more chance to choose. Now I rent a room of a house(not a flat/unit) which costs me 125 pw and it is fully funished and near the shopping center
Studing in UoW is cheaper than in Sydney. But the opertunity to find a part time job is less than in Sydney.

UNSW is a very large uni and have three campus(Kensinton, Art and Aussie Defense School in Canberra). It is very hard to give a general comment to it. Actually, in Sydney, UNSW is one of the best uni, it is very hard for local student to have a position in its good faculty. But UNSW pays more attention to acadamic education and it is a bit more difficult to pass the exams and UTS pays more attention to pratical capability and it is a bit easier to get the degree. Sydney Uni is pretty old school and very good at law, art and madicine. Macquire Uni is very good at business, especially accountant.

我听我的朋友说，一般是毕业后才可以申请。不过，现在据说可以在毕业前3个月提出申请，免工作经验。我的朋友是毕业后申请的。告诉大家他延长签证的方法：他申请了一个夜大的课程，只是晚上上课，然后学校开的证明是该课程要两年读完，他交了一个学期的费用。然后拿着学校的证明到移民局延长签证。一下子延长了两年。所以他有足够的时间等到绿卡。不过，听说要读完这个课程，反正只要出去了，就没有在国内那么难申请了。

我不知道诸位的学术水平有多高.在这读MASTER一年多来,我觉得不是学校的学术水平不高,而是我自己水平不高.在这遇到那么多中国学生,包括来自清华和中科大的,没一个敢说学校的学术水平佩不上自己的能力的.而大多数人只是在跌跌撞撞中混过PASS而已. 在国内时常听说中国学生在国外如何如何EXCELLENT,PPPPPPPPP!歇了吧(少数聪明绝顶的除外).我来这只为读书, 并不考虑别的.但愿考试考的好一点,不辜负了'中国学生学术水平高'的好名声.呵呵
