ACT测试是目前GAC（全球评估证书大学预科）项目的结业考试。只有入学GAC课程，并且成功完成一，二，三各级别学习的学生才可以参加ACT测试。GAC学生必须参与9－12个月的GAC课程学习，之后才可以参加ACT测试。
ACT测试目前不可以脱离GAC课程单独进行。中国现有的GAC授权教学中心都不可以脱离GAC课程而独立操作ACT测试。
ACT测试目前由ACT Education Solutions Limited集中管理。GAC授权教学中心没有直接接触ACT测试材料的权限。只有ACT Education Solutions Limited的教学总监或以上职位的工作人员才可以在GAC中心监管执行ACT测试。
ACT测试是建立在学习内容上的测试，ACT测试中包含的科目（英语-数学-阅读-自然科学）与GAC课程相符。因此 ACT测试作为质量保证手段之一，在GAC课程中起到独立的衡量标准的作用。
确实有学生联系GAC各中心，他们希望不参加GAC课程而单独考ACT。但GAC中心的管理人员已回绝这些学生，因为独立的或单独存在的ACT考点还未获批准。.
有些媒体声称有为中国大陆学生提供ACT考试的考试中心，这一信息是不正确的。现在没有ACT考试中心。

Public Statement
The ACT Assessment is currently the exit test of the GAC program. Only GAC students who have successfully completed Levels 1, 2, and 3 of the GAC may take the ACT Assessment. A GAC strudent would have to have undertaken GAC studies for between 9 to 12 months before undertaking the ACT Assessment.
The ACT Assessment may not be taken independently from the GAC. None of the GAC centers in China can run the ACT Assessment independently from the GAC program.
The ACT Assessment is currently administered centrally by ACT Education Solutions Limited. None of the GAC Centers have access to the ACT Assessment material. Only an AESL employee with Academic Manager status and above may administer the ACT Assessment at a GAC Center.
The ACT Assessment is a content based examination, the subject areas included in the ACT Assessment (English – Math – Reading – Science) match those of the GAC. Thus the ACT Assessment acts as a QA measure within the GAC as an independent benchmark.
It is true that GAC Centers have been contacted by students wishing to take the ACT Assessment but not wishing to undertake the GAC. However, GAC Center management have turned these students away since independent or stand alone ACT testing is not permitted.
There have been some claims in the media that there are operational ACT Test centers offering the assessment to Chinese students . This information is incorrect, there is no such ACT Test Center.
