自2004年开始，Jeni老师开始在中国执教。用她自己的话说：她非常享受在中国的工作和生活。因为在这里她不仅能享受旅游而且能学习到更多的中国文化；从更高的层面看，她认为在执教的过程中，运用她的学术知识背景和教学技巧教授中国学生提升语言技能，这本身也是对中国的发展作出的一份贡献。

My name is Jeni Alwyn and I was born and raised in New Zealand. I later moved to Australia where I gained a BA Social Sciences at Curtin University in Perth WA. My majors were Anthropology and Research Methodology. I then completed an Honors degree at Curtin gaining a 1^st Class Honors Degree in Historiography. Following this success I completed a PhD in Anthropology and Research Methodology. My thesis was subsequently awarded the Chancellor’s Commendation. Initially I lectured in Anthropology and History at Curtin University. However my interest in the relationship between culture and language lead me to study English Language teaching and I gained my CELTA. I then completed the Australian Government Certificate IV in Training and Assessment while I taught English for Academic Purposes in Perth on the Curtin University and La Trobe University programs. Having now lived and worked in China since 2004 I can state that I do not regret my decision and I enjoy the opportunity to not only travel and learn more about Chinese society but also to use my academic knowledge and teaching skills to assist in an admittedly very small way in China’s development into a leading world power.

Jeni Alwyn，澳大利亚籍，毕业于科廷大学，人类学及方法研究学专业，博士学士。同时，获得科廷大学一等荣誉学学位，历史学专业。曾在科廷大学教授人类学及方法研究学课程。此外，Jeni老师对于语言与文化有着深厚的兴趣，因此，她同时选修了教学法并获得了成人英语语言教学证书（CELTA），通过了澳大利亚政府颁发的从业许可并曾经在澳大利亚的科廷和拉筹伯大学的项目中从事学术英语的教学工作。
