12月19号无锡市协和双语国际学校作为一所新学校首次参加市教育局在全市范围内组织的“第十八届英语口语电视大赛”，我校出演的课本剧《Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer》，获得了二等奖的好成绩。
On December 19 2015 students from Wuxi United International School (WUIS) participated in the Wuxi 18th School Students’ Spoken English Competition. In the first year participating in this competition the WUIS students earned second place honors with performed a drama Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
此次参赛由我校二年级小朋友出演，经过2周时间精心准备完成。最为年龄最小的参赛团体，孩子们在舞台上表现出的自信和从容赢得了阵阵掌声。
Students practiced for two weeks. The Grade 2 students were the youngest students in the entire competition. They exhibited confidence within the performance / won enthusiastic applause.
提高学生语言运用能力和综合素养，培养学生多角度语言思维是我校一直以来倡导和执行的。明年的比赛期待更加精彩。
The purpose of the students’ participation within the competition was to improve their English language skills to increase comprehension and to cultivate critical-thinking skills. These are traits valued at WUIS. Already the WUIS students and faculty are looking forward to next year’s competition.
