答：一  since  about  ten years  our  “faculty Of design and media”  Of hannover works intensivelywith chinese design—unJversJties．it is avery short time tOunder-stand china．  and if you dO not deeply understand a country's cultural，historical and philosophical back-ground，you can not really understand 9 specific part,Of the education system Or the way Of life and mentality．
　　—we read all the novels and poetry as well as the works Of great philosophers，everything we carl get about the old china，  because we want tO understand，where the new china comes from．'e start with DAO(taoismus，  lao—tze，y jing，etc．)，   bouddhismus(fOy)chang=zen，etc．)，kong fu-tze(konfucianismus)．'e also love tO read lao she，  lu xun，  lin yu tan，  li pO，and many ethers．  it takes a long  time tO understand chinese thinking．．．
　　一we try tO 1earn chinese calligrafie，  at least some Of    the beautifull characters．
　　—everybody has just tO build a good universal，cultural backgroundbyreading and studying all the important philosophers and writers in the world!
　　—speaking／learning many languages helps a lot tO develop creative thinking capacities!you experience bY yourself，that there are countless different ways Of expressing and thinking the human life．find out the best one for you!
　　—it sounds sO easy tO say，that creativitycomes fromopenmindness，fromcuriousity，from playfullness，from good general knowledge，from looking at our everyday life with full consciousness and from asking simple but intelligent questions about   everything in life and answering them by a personal design—development-work．it is a lifetime task!gO abroad and keep your eyes open!!!
　　—there is no “black box”。f how tO learn good design，tO which only we have the key．the only way is“learning by doing”!design is a way Of living．design is a lifelong learning．design isaphilosophical statement．design isproblemresolving．  design isa longway tO understandandhelpthehumanbeings tOabetter life tomorrow．and everybody has tO find her／his own way to express／translate her／his own dream Of it．

　　—I can just suggest tO our chinese colleagues tO findout，how tO open the creative minds Of the chinese design—students．they have tO open wide their brains and their hearts，the“the black box”beginns tO open its secrets tO them!
　　一do not just think in means Of design，but arts，architecture，natural sciences，psychology，sociology，anthropology，  human sciences．read all the internatio-nal newspapers and find out，what are the importans questions／problems NOW!

　　要学会好的设计没有秘方，唯一的方法就是在实践中学习。设计是生活的方式，需要花一生去学习：设计是不断解决问题；设计是为了让人们的生活能更好。

　　我能说的就是让我们中国的同事打开学生的创造性思路，不要仅局限在设计方法上，要融入艺术、建筑、自然科学、社会学等各方面的知识，让学生多读国际性的书刊报纸，了解当今设计所最需解决的问题。
