专访瑞士教育联盟主席：尽早留学开始国际体验 共享瑞士优质教育

　　出国在线记者：非常欢迎瑞士教育联盟主席克里斯托弗克里瓦先生作客出国在线专访间。We have the pleasure to welcome to the Director of Swiss Learning Mr. Christopher Clivas to visit Studying Abroad Online Interview Room.
 
　　克里瓦先生： 我很高兴接受采访。It is my pleasure to take the interview.
 
　　出国在线记者：首先我们想知道瑞士教育联盟的宗旨是什么? Could you explain the mission of Swiss Learning to us ?

　　克里瓦先生：瑞士教育联盟是一个将瑞士最好的教育展示出来的平台,可以向世界各地的人们介绍瑞士的优质教育. (Swiss Learning is a platform to bring out the best of Swiss education and to cultivate the public awareness of Swiss good education to the world)

　　出国在线记者: 瑞士教育联盟的成员有哪些? Who are the members of the Swiss Learning?

　　克里瓦先生：要成为瑞士教育联盟的成员,一个学校必须已经达到认证标准.虽然我们并不是教育认证机构但我们确保我们的成员都是获得权威机构学术认证的,这些机构包括政府或政府指定/认可的学术认证机构。这一点非常重要，地球越来越小，学生们和父母一起周游世界并在不同的国家呆上几年。对学生们来说，获得高质量的教育，获得受到任可可以互转的学分是非常重要或必须的。否则将会浪费时间，或者遇到障碍。例如，一个学生在英国完成10年级的学习，然后来到瑞士继续11和12年级的学习。如果学生在没有受到认证的学校学习，那么直接进入11和12年级学习将会比较困难，学生可能需要重新修一两门课程。对大学来说，情况也是一样的。如果一个学生获得的是没有受到认可的本科学位，想要继续硕士学位，那么要被一个知名大学的研究生课程录取将会比较困难。我们可以很骄傲地说我们的成员学校的课程都已经获得了认证或认可。(To become its member, an institution must have ALREADY met a recognized accreditation standard. Thus we are not an accreditation body but we do make certain that our members are truly academically accredited by a reputable recognized body such as government or government appointed/recognized accreditation agencies for academic purpose). this is very important. As the world becomes smaller, students travel around the world with their parents and stay for a couple of years for their studies in different countries. It is extremely important or necessary for students received not only quality education but also recognized or transferable credits for what they have studied. Otherwise they will waste their time or get stuck. eg a student finish grade 10 in UK and then come to Switzerland to continue his/her studies for grade 11 &12. If his/her studied in an accredited school(s), he would have extremely difficult time to continue DIRECTLY into Grade 11 then 12. He might have to retake one or even two years courses...etc. This is the same for University. If a student got a non-accredited undergraduate degree and wants to pursue a Master/professional degree, he/she will find it difficult to be accepted by a reputable/recognized graduate program... thus we are proud to say that all our member schools already possess accreditation/recognition for their course/programs...)

　　出国在线记者：这些成员学校开始在中国招生多长时间了，你是如何看待这些学校的？How long your member schools have been recruiting students from China and how do you view them?

　　克里瓦先生：我们的一些成员学院在中国招生已经几十年了，但是数量都比较少。我们对质量是非常重视的。我们的学生来自世界各地，我们给他们提供非常有趣同时又很有纪律性的环境，让他们在学术学习和个人发展上都获得成长和进步。我们发现中国学生是很认真并且很努力的。开始时，他们需要努力适应语言。当然一开始会比较困难，因为中文不是一个以拉丁语为基础的语言。尽管一开始有困难，大部分学生都会发现多讲一门欧洲语言是非常有益的。(Some of our members have been recruiting students from China for decades but always with a very small number. We do care about quality not quantity. We have students coming from all over the world thus we provide a very discipline and yet fun environment for students to growth academically and personally. We found that Chinese students are serious and hard working students. Initially they need to adjust their and work hard on their language. Of course, it might be difficult at the beginning as Chinese are not a Latin based language and some of them even need to master more than one non-mother tongue language. Despite the initial difficult period, most if not all students found it extremely beneficial to speak an extra European language other English. That is why some of our graduates are working for large multinational corporation and enjoy international transfers.

　　出国在线记者：您对中国的父母和学生们有何建议吗？Could you give some suggestion to Chinese parents and students?

　　克里瓦先生： 我对中国家长和学生们的建议是——尽早开始国际体验。到国外去学习时最好的道路。我们经验是——学生们开始得越早，他们对新环境适应得更好，掌握新的语言也更加容易。这会帮助他们进入世界范围内的顶尖的大学和顶尖公司，因为他们有了世界最好的两个方面——身为中国人，并且掌握两到三门外语，有国际背景，这对国际竞争力来说是非常重要的。(My suggestion to Chinese parents and students is – begin early to have international experience. Studying overseas is the best route. Our experience is – the younger the student starts, the better he/she adapt the new environment and easier to master new languages. This will definitely help them to enter into top universities and corporations around the world as they have both sides of the world – being Chinese and have international experience with two or three languages which is extremely important to and have an advantage over the world…)
