Superior teaching experience

Founded in 1882 Brillantmont has moved with the times abandoning its initial vocation as a girls’ boarding school to become a mixed school preparing students for diplomas that are recognised and accepted by all universities.In the same family for five generations the teaching experience of Brillantmont has been passed on and perfected so that today the secondary education dispensed by the school is at once far-reaching rigorous and attuned to the personal development of each student. We are proud to have welcomed young people whose spirit and personality is felt on all continents.

Rigorous progressive teaching

Teaching at Brillantmont is adapted to each student. Upon arrival at the school he or she joins the classes that match his or her abilities. Dialogue between the school the student and his or her family makes it possible to determine how the student can get the very most from the courses proposed according to ives specified at the time of enrolment. Each student is guided in his or her choice of programme and subjects according to his or her abilities.

Our qualified teachers have acquired wide teaching experience and an in-depth knowledge of their respective fields. In addition our small class sizes mean that they can give maximum attention to each student. A personal tutor responsible for a group of five students follows each one in his or her intellectual progress and general behaviour inside

the school and takes measures when necessary.

Life outside the classroom

Physical and cultural education plays a major part in the life of our school. The natural setting and sporting facilities of Brillantmont are ideal for tennis basketball volleyball football and hockey.

Teachers often take their students into the nearby forests where they can enjoy cycling jogging and cross-country skiing. On the shores of the lake there are also opportunities for windsurfing swimming and a range of other water-d activities. Lausanne is an ideal city in which to develop artistic awareness. Each week students can attend theatrical performances or the ballet or go to the cinema or a concert. Within the school around a dozen activities are offered to students including music ballet theatre photography as well as information technology cookery art film and media.

此外，老师经常带着学生到附近的森林骑脚踏车、慢跑和跨国滑雪；或是到湖滨冲浪、玩风帆、游泳和其他水上活动。

洛桑同时是培养孩子审美观与美学欣赏的绝佳之地。学生可于每个星期观赏戏剧或芭蕾等表演，或是看电影、听演奏会等。在校内，学校提供十来个精彩的活动，如音乐、芭蕾、戏剧、摄影以及资讯科技、烹饪、电影及其他媒体传播等，让学生发挥与兴趣一展所长。
